Welcome to the Johnson County Gateway Project!
It’s safe to say the Interchange is a critical hub for both transportation and economic growth for the region and the state – precisely why the Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT) began the project. Once completed, the Johnson County Gateway Project will ensure safe and efficient travel to all areas of development for years to come. KDOT started construction on the Phase 2 improvements in late Spring 2014.

Gateway Project Progress Chart
The progress chart represents overall work completed to-date. Since this is a design-build project, the design is done early in the project, so the work completed reflects that initial effort, not just completed construction. Construction on Phase 2 of the Johnson County Gateway is scheduled to be substantially complete by December 31, 2016.
